Hazelnut Oil is highly hydrating and nourishing due to the Omega 6 content. Hazelnut Oil has phospholipids (a class of lipids that are a major component of all cell membranes) which give greater and longer-lasting moisturizing potential to cosmetic emulsions. It is very easily absorbed, leaving no oily residue. It is toning and helps to maintain skin elasticity. Excellent for oily or combination skins and effective on acne. It stimulates circulation blood flow and also has astringent properties.


Hazelnut Oil is high in unsaponificables and due to that fact it is slow to saponify. The high concentration of antioxidants in hazelnut oil also provides a high stability to rancidity, allowing it to have an excellent shelf life.


Can be used directly as massage oil.

Botanical Name: Corylus avellana

Appearance: pale yellow oily liquid, delicate in flavour and scent,with a slightly nutty quality.

This oil contains about 75% Oleic acid and 20%Linoleic acid (Omega6).

Usage: leaves a luxurious, silky feel on the skin. It may be easily incorporated as an active ingredient or an
ideal carrier in the oily phase in skin and hair care products. Recommended dosage is between 3 and 10 %
